Silverado Resort

The Silverado Resort in Napa Valley traces its origins to the 1870s, when General John Franklin Miller built a grand 14-room mansion along Milliken Creek. Local legend says Miller built the home around an existing Spanish adobe cottage to avoid bad luck, and the thick walls on one corner of the mansion seem to confirm the tale. Decades later, the 1,200-acre Miller estate was transformed into the Silverado Resort, which opened in 1966. Today, it stands as one of Napa Valley’s premier destinations, offering world-class amenities including two championship golf courses, a luxury spa and fitness center, and multiple tennis courts.
